Command Building Two New Drilling Rigs

Command Drilling Corporation has commenced construction of two new drilling rigs for use in Western Canada. The two rigs have a depth capacity rating of 4,000 metres and 6,000 plus metres.

The total budgeted construction cost for the two rigs is $18.2 million.

The 4,000 metre rig is scheduled for completion and commencement of operations in March, 2001 and the 6,000 plus metre rig is expected to be completed and ready for contract work in July 2001.

Command currently owns and operates 13 drilling rigs of various sizes and capabilities as well as related support equipment.
